Milburn Park, Cedar Park

The E-Cycle team returned to Milburn Park! This location is wonderfully centered in Cedar Park and was a huge success last time, so we decided to host another collection here. We hope to keep returning to the local communities across Austin as we continue to spread our message to new people who need to hear it. That means informing friends and family about our cause in order to create a larger impact for everyone!

Lake Creek Park, Round Rock

We had another fantastic E-Cycle drive in the heart of Round Rock! We were able to meet new people from all across Austin and help them recycle their electronics, which included a lot of TV's this time! Though it was a typical hot summer day, we still as a team are passionate about helping the community with their e-waste in order to make a genuine impact on the local environment. We are so thankful to everyone who shows up, as always!

Champion Park, Cedar Park

This was a phenomenal drive! We had over 50 people sign up! E-Cycle is reaching new highs, and we want to keep going. The overwhelming response from the community reinforces the importance of our mission and the collective responsibility we share in addressing environmental challenges. Each new sign-up brings us closer to a more sustainable future, and the enthusiasm shown by participants fuels our determination to expand our efforts. Together, we can make a significant impact and ensure a cleaner, greener planet for future generations.📈📈📈

Rabbit Hill Park, Georgetown

We once again had another successful drive for E-Cycle! We received a whole bunch of electronics to recycle including but not limited to TVs, computers, and quite a staggering amount of robot vacuums. We truly enjoy working on this initiative whether it's from interacting with people or having a fun drive going to Austin to recycle these fascinating devices. We have more drives planned for the future and we hope to see you at one of them. For now, we are working on some exciting new improvements that will change E-Cycle as we know it. Till next time 👋

Hutto Lake Park, Hutto

Yet another eventful E-Cycle run, taking place at Hutto Lake Park! Our team expanded its capacity this time, having multiple volunteers dedicated to helping us collect the electronics! We received a surprising amount of TVs, but were overall delighted to meet the many new people who showed up and supported our initiative! We hope to see old and new faces as we continue this journey 🌎

Milburn Park, Cedar Park

Our second e-waste collection event was an even more surprising success than the first! It was overall a drastic improvement; way more people showed up to donate their electronics, and our setup was upgraded, being able to accommodate a larger load, and looking more appealing. We even received financial donations from many people, and are extremely grateful for their support! We hope to cover even more parts of Austin very soon to spread the word about E-cycle! 🖥️

March 10, 2024
Round Rock West Park Drive

Our first e-waste collection drive was met with an amazing reception! We overall gathered nearly 500 pounds of electronics, including countless laptops and even a humongous printer! It was comforting to see all the positivity that people brought us when donating their items, and we were so glad to be able to help others with their unused items. Let's continue this positive momentum and help our planet become a less waste-filled place! 🌎 💻

About Us

Sustainable Growth

With our electronic recycling programs, E-Cycle is committed to encouraging environmental preservation. We want to reduce the environmental impact of electronic waste (also known as e-waste) by promoting active participation in our programs and keeping it out of landfills. We reduce pollution, protect natural resources, and promote a cleaner, more sustainable Earth for coming generations by implementing sustainable recycling practices.

Resource Recovery

The main goal of our e-cycling initiatives is to recover as many resources as possible from obsolete electronics. We reduce the need for raw material extraction by extracting valuable materials like gold, silver, copper, and rare earth metals. This minimizes environmental damage and saves energy associated with mining operations. We work to complete the lifecycle of electronic devices through simplified recycling processes, which helps to create a more resource-conscious and sustainable economy.

Safer Practices

E-Cycle is critical to hazardous waste management because it ensures the safe and responsible disposal of electronic devices that contain toxic substances. Using certified recycling centers, we keep hazardous materials like lead, mercury, cadmium, and brominated flame retardants out of the soil, waterways, and atmosphere. By effectively managing these hazardous components, we protect human health and the environment while lowering the risks associated with chemical exposure. Old technology left neglected in closets or storage spaces can pose fire hazards due to potential malfunction or overheating.

Convenient Disposal

Recognizing the difficulties many people face in getting to recycling centers, E-Cycle aims to bridge the gap by providing convenient solutions tailored to a variety of needs. We recognize that a sizable portion of the population may be unaware of nearby recycling centers or face logistical challenges in visiting them due to distance or transportation limitations. Furthermore, some recycling centers may not accept individual donations. To address these barriers, E-Cycle offers accessible alternatives such as community drop-off locations and organized e-cycling events.
